Day
01: Arrival at Delhi
Company
representatives will receive you on arrival
at the international airport in Delhi, India.
They will help you transfer to your hotel
and check in at the hotel, where you are
free to relax for the day.
Day
02 : Delhi
You
will be picked up from your hotel to travel
on a full-day tour of Old & New Delhi.
In
Old Delhi you will see the Red Fort, an
impressive sandstone monument built in red
sandstone by the Emperor Shah Jahan, the
Jama Masjid - one of the largest mosques
in India; enjoy a rickshaw ride in Chandni
Chowk - a historic market street; also see
Raj Ghat - the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi,
Humayun's Tomb and the Qutab Minar.
In
New Delhi you will see Rashtrapati Bhawan
- the President's mansion, Parliament House,
India Gate, The Bahai (Lotus) Temple and
shopping arcades in New Delhi.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight
stay.
Day
03 : Delhi - Alwar
In
the morning, after breakfast, we travel
from Delhi to Alwar, in Rajasthan, India,
by road. The distance of approximately 170
km is covered in 4 hours.
Arrive
in Alwar at noon. Check into your hotel
and relax. In the evening you can go shopping
or explore the city of Alwar, known for
its fort, palaces and museum.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight
stay.
Day
04 : Alwar - Jaipur
In
the morning, after breakfast, we travel
from Alwar to Jaipur by road. The distance
of approximately 120 km is covered in 2
hours.
Arrive
in Jaipur at noon. Check into your hotel
and relax. In the evening you can go shopping
or explore the city of Jaipur.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight
stay.
Day
05 : Jaipur
Enjoy
your breakfast at the hotel. We then proceed
to Amber Fort for a day's excursion. At
the foot of the hill leading to Amber Fort,
you will climb onto an elephant and enter
the fort in royal style on elephant back.
Inside Amber Fort, you will see palaces,
gardens, historic weapons and a grand view
of the lake and the city of Jaipur.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight
stay.
Day
06 : Jaipur - Agra
After
breakfast, we travel from Jaipur to Agra,
by road. The distance of approximately 221
km, is covered in around 5 hours.
Arrive
in Agra at noon and check into the hotel.
Visit Fatehpur Sikri en-route. This city
was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar as
his ideal city. It was however abandoned
after his death and the city's beautiful
buildings stand as a reminder of an Emperor's
dream.
In the evening you can enjoy the ambience
of the city of Agra. Dinner and overnight
stay at the hotel in Agra.

07 : Agra - Khajuraho
By
Flight
After breakfast we will drive to the Taj
Ganges parking place. From there we will
take the battery operated bus to the world
famous Taj Mahal. Built by the Mughal Emperor
Shah Jahan, in memory of his wife Mumtaz
Mahal who died in 1631. This marble mausoleum
is situated near the river Yamuna and contains
the tombs of both Shah Jahan and Mumtaz
Mahal. It is regarded as a monument to everlasting
love.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to
Khajuraho. Arrive in Khajuraho and transfer
to the hotel. Explore Khajuraho and return
to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day
08 : Khajuraho - Varanasi
Proceed
for a guided tour of the famous temples
of Khajuraho. This group of temples built
by the Chandella rulers of central India
between 950 and 1050 A.D. They are known
worldwide for their sculptural excellence,
which includes erotic carvings. Transfer
to the airport for the flight to Varanasi.
Arrive at Varanasi and check into the hotel.

09 : Varanasi
Morning
drive to Daswamedh Ghat and take a boat
ride on the sacred river Ganges to see the
cremation Ghats and witness the living traditions
of one of the world's oldest and most important
religions.
Day
10 : Varanasi - Delhi
After
breakfast at the hotel, we proceed for sightseeing
of Sarnath. An important Buddhist pilgrimage
destination, this is the site where Lord
Buddha preached his first sermon after gaining
enlightenment. Explore the sights of Sarnath
and proceed to the airport to travel to
Delhi, to conclude your best of North India
tour package.
